Grabbing at everything

Noah has started grabbing at everything of interest: his toys, his feet, the stripes on his play gym, his sister's ear, his sister's shirt, my chin...you get the picture. Today he added Moses to the list. This morning, he reached out to feel Moses' front paw. Up until this point, Moses roamed the play area freely (looking for drool, spit up and available toys) with no danger of baby intereference. For today, Moses wised up to Noah's new tricks and has started backing away when he sees arms flying in his direction. But, I must say that things are about to change and Moses does not know what is a comin'.

Oh, and does anyone else find it interesting that Moses is laying in the spot where the babies are supposed to be?

A glimpse into my evening

I just finished tucking the babies into bed for the night...sort of. I went back in because Ella sounded distressed enough for me see what was happening. Upon entering I found that she had rolled over on to her tummy. While she is proud of herself for rolling, she was not wanting to sleep like this and for some reason she was not rolling back over. And her brother...although he seemed peaceful enough when I placed him in the crib, he was on his back with one foot in each hand, chatting with his new found friends: left foot and right foot.

Eventually, they'll fall asleep (I hope).

Grandmothers love their grandbabies and my mom is no different. This is the second time that she has visited since the babies arrived and it was a treat to have her here for so long! Initially, we had a long list of activities that we aspired to, but in the end, our days were spent drinking tea, playing with the babies and attempting to stay on top of the laundry. It was just perfect. We love you so much!

Visitors from Germany

Last week, we were fortunate enough to share an evening with our dear friends Gordon and Caryl. This is unusual as they live in Germany. They have known me (Nicole) my entire life, were there when Matt and I were married, and for a year, were colleagues when I worked with Greater Europe Mission. They are very special to us and we are so glad that they have now met the entire family.
